Overture to Death has all what I look for in a Mystery novel: It is very atmospheric, very British, steeped in the time period it is set in, oh, and possibly a little stereotypical. But still it made my eyes glaze over every time I read a couple of pages/5. In Overture to Death it was a bit more obvious than usual.
